Surgir is a feminist organisation committed to combating gender-based violence. We reject the logic of domination and power that underpins gender-based violence and discriminates against certain social groups. We aspire to a world where everyone is free to live in peace, respecting their environment.
Acting as a network to combat gender-based violence and transform the logic of power that underpins it
We campaign to reduce gender-based injustice and discrimination. We are fighting against the logic of power, including patriarchy and racism, which encourages violence, discrimination against certain social groups and the destruction of our ecosystems. We aim to transform the power relations at work in the various forms of oppression and discrimination suffered by minority groups because of gender, sexual and affective orientation, racial assignment, religion and other identity markers.

The RECAP-ME association was founded in 2023 with the aim of creating a network of mothers in French-speaking Switzerland who have suffered psychological violence, and to highlight the collateral effects of violence on their children’s health.
Violence can be perpetrated by an individual or by an institution.
The aim of networking is to bring mothers out of their isolation and point them in the direction of solutions.
The association also aims to collect data on psychological violence and set up preventive actions in collaboration with other institutions.
