Strength in unity \u2013 Every step counts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, around 100 women and 70 children find refuge at the Frauenhaus beider Basel<\/a> after experiencing violence, insecurity or distress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Behind every door that closes to protect them, there is a story. A mother trying to rebuild her life. A child who needs to regain a sense of security. A family that deserves a second chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 21 November 2026, at the Basler Stadtlauf<\/a>, the KidsToo team will take to the starting line with a simple yet ambitious goal:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to turn every kilometre travelled into tangible hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the funds raised will be donated to the Frauenhaus beider Basel to support its work with the women and children in its care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 help fund essential clothing (T-shirts, leggings and socks) for a woman arriving at the shelter with no personal belongings. Or:
\u2192 enable the purchase of food so that a woman can prepare a meal for herself and for the other women and children in her care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 help to fund a new schoolbag or essential school supplies for a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 enable women and their children to use public transport in the Basel region, a vital step towards their independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 fund a mobile phone security check carried out by a specialist IT firm in order to protect the victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 support the Liaison project, a support programme for children who have experienced trauma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2192 help to improve the shelter\u2019s living, leisure and play areas, with a view to providing a safer, more welcoming and more child-friendly environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
